GET  TO  KNOW SYDNEY E.

Sydney Engel, President and Founder of Sydney E. Publicity, began her Public Relations and Integrated Marketing journey in 2010, while she was still an undergraduate student in New York University’s Media, Culture & Communication program. It was an exciting time to get her feet wet in the industry, as the advent of Social Media was just beginning to heat up (“what is a tweet?” and “how do I hashtag?”) and digital media conglomerates were multiplying by the day. An industry that was once only composed of traditional outlets and press releases, media alerts and pitches was now evolving into something better, bigger & bolder. The industry became a healthy mix of brand storytelling and media relations meets partnership development, brand integrations and product placement, search engine optimization, and strategic event activations. And that’s when a passionate & dynamic leader was ready to hit the gas pedal.

Fast forward 10 years later and Sydney Engel has led both agency and in-house publicity and reputation strategy for some of the biggest global lifestyle brands, including Dorchester Collection, Gstaad Palace, Ferrari North America, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, The Spa at Four Seasons New York Downtown, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, and Atlantis, Paradise Island.  It was Sydney’s entrepreneurial spirit, corporate successes and multitude of relationships that led her to launch Sydney E. Publicity, which prides itself on the art of collaboration, creativity, and consistency. While Sydney’s primary specialties are the travel, hospitality, lifestyle and wellness industries, she is open to working with other industries, as she has connections within many types of verticals.

Sydney Engel holds a Bachelor of Science from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development. Most recently, she received her Masters Certificate in Sports and Entertainment Marketing from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
